Looking for a campsite along the Nantes Brest canal ?

Ideally located, at the crossroads of the V6 and the nantes brest canal, on the route of the Vélodyssée(EV1), beside the towpath and a stone’s throw from the very pretty market town of Gouarec and all its amenities, come and relax at the Gouarec Campsite.

The Gouarec campsite is around 160km from Brest and 200km from Nantes; and less than 10km by bike from the beach at Trégnanton, around the Guerledan lake. Just like the camping de Rohan (which we recommend!) or Crêpes et Couette (at lock 150, where we eat really good crêpes!!), our campsite is directly next to the canal, which delights cyclists and… the fisherman !

Here, you can pitch your tent in complete simplicity before dining under shelter near the communal kitchen. You can also, after a small kayak ride on the water, opt for a night in unusual caravans or in bell tent.

A little explanation

The canal de Nantes à Brest is a small-gauge canal linking the cities of Nantes and Brest and running through the valleys of the Erdre, Isac, Oust, Blavet, Doré, Kergoat, Hyères and Aulne .

The canal was built in the first half of the 19th century and is 364 km long. The canal is made up of 238 locks.
